It includes two requirements, which had to be implemented by February 2019:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pharmaceutical packaging must be marked with an individual serial number to ensure traceability back to the manufacturer.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, the packaging must have features that make it easy to detect attempts to tamper by opening the packaging.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>A definition of these features is provided by the EU standard EN 16679 \u201cPackaging &#8211; Tamper verification features for medicinal product packaging\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Our products<strong> Pharma 404425<\/strong> and <strong>Pharma 404427<\/strong>\u00a0 are designed to ensure tamper-proof marking on pharmaceutical folding cartons and thus support compliance with the Directive on falsified medicinal products.
